Meet The Lenovo ThinkPad P70

You Want Power? Meet the Lenovo P70

See your Skylake, raise you Xeon
Lenovo's ThinkPad P50 and P70 are in the privileged position of being the first notebooks to use Intel's professional-grade Xeon processors. And, yes, they're sixth-gen Skylake ones at that. Key benefit? This means you can install up to 64GB of RAM (We are not sure why, either).

Solid terabytes
The 17in P70 has space for four superfast PCI Express drives. This is a laptop, don't forget. Out of the box you get a 2TB HDD and a whopping 1TB solid-state-whizz-o-drive. It also has two Intel Thunderbolt 3 ports, which use the same physical connectors as USB-C but with 40Gps speeds.

Nvidia-upgrade
There's a choice of Full HD touch or 4K UHD screens, naturally, but both the P70 and the 15in P50 have the two words 'Nvidia Quadro' printed casually on the spec sheet. Again, this is pro-level componentry, geared more towards CAD than gaming, but if you want a world-beating laptop, this is it.

Verdict

If you don't care about its large dimensions and 7.6-pound weight of the ThinkPad P70, you'll be rewarded with a powerful mobile workstation with Intel's Skylake or mobile Xeon processors.
